Potential Side Effects of B12

These effects are usually mild and temporary. If side effects do not go away, get worse or bother you, contact your healthcare provider.
Rarely, more serious allergic reactions can occur, especially in people with a cobalt or Vitamin B12 allergy. Call emergency services right away if you develop:
- Trouble breathing
- Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat
- A widespread rash or hives
