What Are the Possible Side Effects of BPC-157?
Side Effects Overview
BPC-157 is generally well-tolerated. The most commonly reported effects are localized to the injection site and are mild and transient in nature.
Injection Site Reactions
When administered via a small needle, the following localized reactions may occur:
Redness or itching A minor inflammatory response at the site of the injection. This typically resolves on its own within a short period.
Bruising Common if a small blood vessel is nicked during subcutaneous administration. Rotating injection sites can help reduce the frequency of bruising.
Localized soreness A "dull ache" at the injection site that usually dissipates within an hour.
Contact your care team if you experience:
- Reactions that do not resolve within a few hours
- Signs of infection at the injection site (increasing redness, warmth, swelling, or discharge)
- Any unexpected symptoms after beginning your protocol
