How do I store NAD+?

How do I store NAD+?

NAD+ is a temperature-sensitive compounded medication that should be stored properly to maintain its integrity.

Shipping and Packaging

NAD+ orders are shipped with an ice pack to help keep the medication cool during transit.

  • Ice packs typically remain cold for about 24 to 36 hours
  • This provides an initial window of refrigeration during delivery

Temperature Allowance During Transit

NAD+ can tolerate limited exposure to higher temperatures during shipping:

  • Can remain unrefrigerated for up to 4 days (96 hours)
  • Can withstand temperatures up to 96°F (35.5°C) during this period

This means that even if the ice pack has melted, the medication may still be within safe handling limits if it arrives within this timeframe and temperature range.

Upon Delivery

Once received, NAD+ should be:

  • Refrigerated as soon as possible
  • Stored according to any additional instructions provided on the prescription label or packaging

Notes
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. They are prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies under medical supervision and may differ in formulation, dosing, and supporting evidence from FDA-approved products.
