What Should I Do If My Intranasal Medication Is Cloudy After Mixing?

Some intranasal medications arrive as dry peptide powder and must dissolve completely in the supplied mixing solution before administration.

After adding the mixing solution, swirl and shake the bottle for at least 60 seconds, until the powder has fully dissolved and the liquid appears clear.

If the medication remains cloudy:

  1. Allow the bottle to sit for approximately two minutes.

  2. Shake the bottle again.

  3. Check that the powder has completely dissolved and the solution appears clear.

The supplied preparation instructions specify that the medication should be clear after reconstitution.

If the medication remains cloudy or does not appear to dissolve completely, contact Direct Meds Clinical Care for further guidance before administering it.
