What Should I Do If I Accidentally Take Too Much Microdosing Semaglutide?

If you accidentally inject more semaglutide than prescribed, do not take another dose until you have received guidance from a healthcare professional.

Taking too much may increase the likelihood of side effects such as:

  • Severe nausea

  • Vomiting

  • Diarrhea

  • Abdominal pain

  • Dizziness

  • Dehydration

  • Low blood sugar, particularly if you also use medications that lower blood glucose

You should also contact the Direct Meds Clinical Care Team at clinicalcare@directmeds.com so the team can review what happened and advise you on next steps.

Seek immediate in-person medical attention for severe or persistent vomiting, severe abdominal pain, fainting, confusion, difficulty breathing, or signs of significant dehydration.

Alert
If you feel unwell or used significantly more medication than prescribed, go to the nearest emergency department for evaluation or contact Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 for immediate guidance.
Notes
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. They are prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies under medical supervision and may differ in formulation, dosing, and supporting evidence from FDA-approved products.
