If you decide to stop HRT, your body will gradually return to its pre-treatment hormonal state. For many women, this means the symptoms that brought them to Nuvella in the first place, such as hot flashes, sleep disruption, mood changes, and fatigue, may return over time.
There is no medical danger in stopping HRT, but it should always be done in conversation with your provider. Depending on how long you’ve been on therapy and your individual health profile, your clinician may recommend tapering your doses gradually rather than stopping abruptly.
If you need to pause or cancel your Nuvella program, you can do so at any time. Medications that have already been shipped are non-refundable, but you’ll still have access to the medical support and nursing care included in your program through the remainder of your 90-day cycle.
