What dosage of injectable Semaglutide will I be taking?

Standard Dosing Template

Notes
Semaglutide is a prescription weight-management medication taken once weekly. It is taken on the same day each week, any time of day, with or without food.

Your doctor will ultimately decide what is right for you, however, our standard protocol with injectable Semaglutide for many new patients follow the same basic template. The dosing template will vary depending on which pharmacy fills your prescription as different pharmacies have different combinations of volume and strength for their injectable Semaglutide compounds. Which pharmacy fills your prescription will be determined by our systems at time of purchase and takes into consideration a number of factors including your selections, location, and product availability.

Warning
Always read your prescription when you receive it and follow the dosing and instructions prescribed by your doctor.

Your individualized dose and duration of therapy will be based on both weight loss and medical goals discussed with your physician. Typically, you will stay on the same dose as long as you are losing weight at that dosage.

Reviewing Your Dosage and Medication Information

Included in your package is a guide outlining your specific dosage, the schedule you should follow, and when to increase the dose as directed by your doctor. Before preparing your medication, carefully read through this information to understand your dosing schedule.

Your starting dose will be a low amount, which allows your body to adjust to the medication. Be patient with this process and do not try to increase your dose on your own. Follow the dosing schedule your doctor has prescribed, and inject your medication only once per week (or as otherwise directed).

Being informed about your dosing schedule is essential for getting the most benefit from your medication.

Measuring Your Dose

Each vial of our injectable Semaglutide contains 1mL (100 units) and lasts 4 weeks. No matter your dose, you will always inject 25 units per week. We adjust the concentration of Semaglutide in the vial to match your prescribed dose.
  1. Example 1: If your dose is 0.25mg/week, the vial contains 1mg/mL (1mg ÷ 4 weeks = 0.25mg/week).
  2. Example 2: If your dose is 1mg/week, the vial contains 4mg/mL (4mg ÷ 4 weeks = 1mg/week).
  3. Example 3: If your dose is 2.5mg/week, the vial contains 10mg/mL (10mg ÷ 4 weeks = 2.5mg/week).
Key point: The injection volume stays the same (25 units/week); only the concentration changes based on your dose.

The syringes included in your shipment are measured in units and increase by increments of 10 units; for 25 units, draw medication up to the halfway point between 20 units and 30 units.

If there is any excess medication after you have completed your prescribed dosing schedule, it should be discarded.
