What Are the Possible Side Effects of DSIP?

What Are the Possible Side Effects of DSIP?

Side Effects Overview

DSIP is generally well tolerated. Side effects are typically mild and localized to the injection site. Systemic effects, when they occur, are most common during the early weeks of the protocol as the body adjusts to the peptide's neuromodulatory activity.

Common Localized Reactions

These are typical for subcutaneous peptide injections and usually resolve within a few hours:

Erythema
Temporary redness or flushing at the injection site. This is a normal inflammatory response to the injection and resolves on its own.

Minor Swelling
A small, temporary bump or "wheal" where the solution was delivered. This typically disappears within a few hours.

Pruritus
Mild localized itching shortly after the injection. Usually brief and does not require intervention.

Systemic and Neurological Effects

Because DSIP modulates the central nervous system, some patients notice the following, particularly in the early weeks:

Vivid Dreaming
Increased dream intensity or recall during the initial stages of sleep architecture adjustment. This often reflects DSIP's activity in deepening sleep stages and is not a sign of an adverse reaction.

Mild Dizziness
Occasional reports of transient lightheadedness shortly after administration. Injecting while seated or lying down can help.

Nausea
Rare reports of mild, short-lived queasiness. This is uncommon and typically resolves without intervention.

When to Contact Your Care Team

Contact your care team if you experience:

  • Reactions that do not resolve within a few hours
  • Signs of infection at the injection site (increasing redness, warmth, swelling, or discharge)
  • Any unexpected symptoms after beginning your protocol

Your care team is available through the patient portal or at 888-696-7176.
