How Do I Take Tesamorelin?
Taking Tesamorelin
Tesamorelin is taken as a subcutaneous (SQ) injection in the abdomen, 5 times per week at bedtime, Monday through Friday.
Preparing Your Injection
Gather your supplies Each Tesamorelin shipment includes everything needed for your protocol:
- The pre-mixed Tesamorelin peptide vial
- Needles (31-gauge insulin syringe)
- Alcohol swabs
- A pamphlet
Drawing your dose Draw 0.5 ml from your pre-mixed vial using a 31-gauge insulin syringe. The product ships ready to inject, so no mixing is required.
Storing your vial Store your vial in refrigeration between 35°F and 38°F. Keep away from heat and direct sunlight.
Choosing Your Injection Site
Inject subcutaneously into the abdomen.
- Wash hands thoroughly
- Clean the injection site with an alcohol swab; allow to dry
- Pinch the skin to create a small fold
- Insert the needle at approximately a 45-degree angle
- Draw back slightly to confirm you are not in a blood vessel
- Inject slowly and steadily
- Withdraw and apply gentle pressure; do not rub
- Dispose of the used needle in a sharps container
