How Do I Take PT-141?

Taking PT-141

PT-141 is taken as a subcutaneous injection, 45 minutes to 2 hours before sexual activity, as needed. It is not a daily medication.

Preparing Your Injection

Gather your supplies Each PT-141 shipment includes everything needed for your protocol:

  • PT-141 peptide vial
  • Needles (31-gauge insulin syringe)
  • Alcohol swabs
  • Pamphlet

Drawing your dose Draw 85 units into the 31-gauge insulin syringe from your PT-141 vial.

Storing your vial Keep your PT-141 refrigerated between 35°F and 38°F. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before drawing your dose.

Performing the Injection

  1. Wash hands thoroughly.
  2. Clean injection site with alcohol swab; allow to dry.
  3. Pinch skin to create a small fold.
  4. Insert needle at approximately 45-degree angle.
  5. Draw back slightly to confirm not in a blood vessel.
  6. Inject slowly and steadily.
  7. Withdraw and apply gentle pressure; do not rub.
  8. Dispose of used needle in sharps container.
