Are the latest government measures impacting my prescription?
Direct Meds continues to monitor federal and state guidance related to compounded medications. At this time, our partner providers and pharmacies remain able to evaluate patients and dispense compounded GLP-1 medications where permitted by applicable laws and regulations.
Compounded medications may be prescribed by licensed healthcare providers when they determine they are clinically appropriate for an individual patient and when permitted under federal and state compounding rules. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and availability may change based on regulatory updates.
Each patient’s prescription is reviewed independently by a licensed healthcare provider, who determines whether a compounded formulation is appropriate based on that patient’s medical history and the legal requirements of their state.
If there are any changes to availability, regulations, or prescribing requirements, Direct Meds will notify affected patients as soon as possible.
